Green Space garden center, (across from Golds Gym on Richmond Highway) is having a sale with 25% off everything. The place has a decent assortment of perennials not found in the local big box stores.
It is also giving away the vegetable plants for free. Many are past their prime as potted vegetables, and are rather sickly looking. However, if you plant them correctly (like tomatoes), they will eventually take off and grow into good plants with fruit during the rest of the season. I saw mostly tomato plants (grape tomato, white tomato, and 'black' tomato) and melons on the free vegetable table, and picked up a grape tomato plant. |
