I heard it mentioned a few times in newsletters and neighbors etc. Does anyone know what's going on with it? Have any decisions been made? I take my dog sometimes to the dog park in Del Ray but that's quite a trek just to walk the dog.

I've meet some great people as well....seems like dog parks help with getting to know you're neighbors etc. All it involves is a chain link fence in a circular pattern and a bench.

Master planning for the Huntington Park is on hold until the flood issues are resolved since flood control measures could impact the park and available land.

(Keep in mind that the community would need to maintain and clean the dog park - maybe a Huntington Dog Owners Club would be in order?)

.....Shirlington has the best dog park around. The park is fenced in and leads down to the big creek where the dogs swim. If you go there in the summer on the weekends you will literally see 50+ dogs. It's great. Best dog park in Northern Va I think:)

It's behind the Weenie Beanie Hot Dog stand a few blocks. If Huntington ever gets past the flood restrictions and the bike path etc, a dog park along the creek would be ideal.
